Halo Keepers is a nonprofit 510(3)(c) charitable organization located in Jacksonville,FL. We provide character wigs made of yarn, hats and put on a ball to bring joy and comfort to young children battling cancer and their families. All of this is done by volunteers and through donations. Halo Keepers was founded by Heather Curtis. Heather is a mom of 2 boys and an ICU and ER nurse. The desire to start the group came after she watched a young boy named Jon fight and lose his battle with cancer. In his 5 short years he showed others the joy of life and the group is dedicated to his memory. Many of our members have been touched by friends, family and loved ones battling cancer and some are battling themselves. We all come together with a common desire to bring some happiness to such a trying time. Our members personal dedications pour love and prayers and good intentions into something tangible.
